Yes i do. The are small clips that you have to pop open. Google it and there's some good you tub videos. If you smash them open you wont ever get the parts out.

Last two I had were broke one RROD and the other not so serious. RROD went for $25 on Ebay and the other for $50 on Clist...much more then just scrap value.

Well what are they xbox or playstation....sony makes playstations fyi...o n ud probably be better off listing them on cl omce u figure out what the are...if the gaming stations are relatively new such as a 360 or ps3 u will get far more than scrap even if they r broken...

If its an original xbox it is most likely black. Long drivers with assist getting it apart or a big hammer approach. Inside is a motherboard, Al heat sink and a hard drive. Mike.

Umm I got a real white xbox today pluged it in and get a flashing red light. I will try to craigslist it as I sell lots of junk on there. Cheers. Orlando FL.

Three months later, nice lol! sounds about like me! I've got enough ewaste to last a few months if I were to do this full time!

Make sure when you list it you state it has the red ring of death........ which basically means you can only sell it for parts....... unless you want to fix it.

There are guys out there that claim they can fix RROD and will buy them on Craigslist and Ebay. I have sold several for $30-$50.

Microsoft will fix it for ya for $125 bucks, so wouldn't surprise if some computer wiz can do the same.

Sirscrapalot - Once had a rrod and inquired into getting it fixed. Decided to just go buy a new generation 360.

depending on how many light ,2-3 rings i play with them 3 is over heating, i have found microshaft puts way to much thermal paste on it all over usually clean it all up lift heatsink abit up with plastic washers ...Watch out for the fins you will cut yourself there very thin and sharp ,but pretty much easy to do.....

Just my 2 cents...even if they're broken, I'd sell them on ebay (or see if they get bites on CL, whichever is your drug of choice ). Personally, if they are a ps2...especially fats, or xbox's I get bids constantly. I have sold 2 broken fat ps2's for at least $40 and have seen them go higher. Maybe it's just my rule of thumb, but if I can sell them for way more than I'll ever get from scrap...I sell!!! Also, just a tip....I've made in excess of $100 for a main board and a light engine pulled from a non working DLP that I've picked up for free off of CL. I know....who TF buys DLP components? People on ebay. Who knows, maybe those "worthless items" won't get a bite...but,then and only then you can throw them on the scrap pile. Just be sure that if you list them, be sure to list them correctly and so that your listings show with simple searches. Just a little due diligence goes a long way.
